The Old Mine in Wałbrzych is a prime example of the successful revitalization of the historic "Julia" Coal Mine complex. The investment covered approximately 4 hectares of land and 16 historic buildings, which, upon completion, were given new roles dedicated to culture, education, and exhibition activities.

The architectural project preserved the site's industrial character while adapting it to modern functional requirements. Former mining buildings were transformed into spaces for the Wałbrzych Cultural Center, mining machinery exhibitions, temporary art galleries, and an Ecological Tower, creating a modern center for science and art.

A key element of the project is the facade featuring perforated panels made of RHEINZINK-CLASSIC titanium-zinc. This solution emphasized the industrial nature of the rebuilt foreman's office (sztygarówka), providing natural ventilation and light permeability, while offering the material durability essential for the responsible revitalization of historic architecture.
